Communitarian tourism and internet: analysis of the websites of the experiences in Brazil

This paper analyzes the communitarian tourism in the virtual space, identifying Brazilian experiences and whether they have content, information and basic functionality to answer the needs of potential tourist. It creates an instrument for collecting specific data, adapted to communitarian tourism. And as main results, it earned: what are the potential that the internet and social media offer; which experiences of communitarian tourism in Brazil already use the internet; which social media can be better exploited in tourism promotion of communitarian destinations; there is inattention to potential foreign public offers the communitarian tourism in Brazil; that experiences can be more aware to the complexity of information required by the communitarian tourism, but these value their differences as a tourist product; finally, that such experiences are not overlapping macro networks of communitarian tourism. The analyzes suggest to better plan for communitarian destinations in network format, like some initiatives in Brazil and in the world, both at the time of designing the product, as in proposing strategies for promotion and sale.Downloads
