Abstract

The landscape consists of natural and cultural resources, that play the role of raw material for tourism development. To this end, tourism needs to appropriate the land and its resources to subsequently be functionalized through the provision of access infrastructure and services. Finally homogenized so that the tourist is in the tourist’s services it has in their country of origin. In Mexico, tourism is the third largest source of revenue and the state through the spatial planning process has built Megaprojects Integrally Planned to enter the global tourism market. The article analyzes the changes that have occurred in the space for the development of tourism in the state of Quintana Roo.
