From a formative-cultural-touristic experience, experienced by students and teachers of the Geomesure Integrated Technical Course of Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR), Pato Branco Campus, Paraná state (PR/Brazil), it intends to present, as an objective, in this article, a reflection about the contribution that school can give “to wake up” and “to form” the possible cultural tourist, so he can have information and knowledge to enjoy the artistic and cultural representations of a particular place. The method employed is based on a initial implementation of a study-travel as didactic activity with a interdisciplinary character to approach to the Guarani Jesuit reduction of St. Michael Archangel, located in Brazil, in Rio Grande do Sul state (RS/Brazil) – one of thirty reductions at the time when the Jesuits were expelled from South America Spanish territories, becoming later in a local tourist attraction. Although it has been less worked and promoted. In addition to this article, it was carried out, a bibliographic research, an “in loco” visitation, and an unsystematic participant observation during the visitation travel. As a result it was observed students attitude change toward the more respectability and significance to the cultural heritage.Downloads
