Patrimônio histórico cultural e turismo no carnaval de Caravelas: Axé versus Samba

Resumo

O artigo discute a cultura e o turismo no Carnaval de Caravelas, Extremo Sul da Bahia, como expressão de manifestações já consolidadas pelo cânone carnavalesco do axé e do samba. A junção destas feições promove um carnaval tipicamente diferente de outras localidades da Bahia. Objetiva refletir sobre a interface do Axé, oriundo de Salvador, e do samba, proveniente do Rio de Janeiro, no carnaval caravelense.

Abstract:
This article suggests the culture and tourism of Caravela's Carnival, in the extreme south of the state of Bahia, as a consolidated expression of the manifestation by carnival's canone of axé and samba. By mixing up these aspects, Caravelas makes a carnival typically different of those from other places of Bahia. Te objective is to reflect about the interface of the axé from Salvador and the samba, from Rio de Janeiro in the Caravela's carnival.
