Abstract:
The carnival excites a diversity of readings that understand diverse sciences as the Anthropology, Philosophy, Sociology, Economy, History, making possible diverse points of reflections and analyses about of this thematic one. To be able to answer to the cultural and marketing questions on the carnival of Itabuna, one will launch a critical look on its evolution and mutation of the popular circles to the standard institutionalized and spectacular of the present time; its degradates aspects; its significations in terms of culture and economy; and the questions of preservation of the cultural identity versus the marketing factors. The objective of the work is ampler, if not limiting only to characterize it as cultural or only mercantile. It converges in the direction to develop literature and to foment debates on the subject.
