O turismo em ambientes recifais: em busca da transição para a sustentabilidade

Resumo

O turismo é uma atividade de importância fundamental para as nações que possuem em suas regiões costeiras, ambientes recifais. No entanto, nos dias atuais, da forma como ele está sendo planejado e implantado vem gerando impactos negativos para o ambiente e não terá sustentabilidade a longo prazo. O presente artigo teve como objetivo discutir a relação do turismo com os ambientes recifais, enfatizando os usos atuais, os impactos gerados e as medidas de manejo propostas para minimização destes impactos.

Abstract:

The tourism is an activity of basic importance for the nations that possess in its coastal regions, reefs environments. However, in the current days, of the form as it is being planned and implanted cause negatives impacts for the environment and it will not have sustentability in the long term. The present article aimed to discuss the relation between tourism and the reefs environments, emphasizing the current uses, the generated impacts and the management actions proposals for minimize these impacts.
