Turismo e Carnaval na Bahia

Resumo

A Bahia, nas últimas décadas, definiu a atividade turística como uma das prioridades para o seu desenvolvimento econômico-social. Amparada na diversidade de suas belezas naturais, no seu amplo patrimônio histórico-cultural, e numa série de ações de marketing e infra-estrutura, ocupa posição privilegiada no âmbito do receptivo nacional e internacional. Neste sentido, o carnaval soteropolitano vem se constituindo como elemento sociocultural relevante em se tratando da evolução das estatísticas da indústria turística no Estado. A exposição e análise destes números, respeitando o período 2000-2004, é o objetivo deste estudo.

Abstract:

Bahia, in the last decades, inserted the tourist activity as one of the priorities for its economic-social development. Supported in the diversity of its natural beauties, in its ample description-cultural patrimony, and in a series of action of marketing and infrastructure, it occupies privileged position in the national receptive scope of and the international one. In this direction, the soteropolitano carnival comes if constituting as excellent sociocultural element in if treating to the evolution of the statisticians of the tourist industry in the State. The exposition and analysis of these numbers, respecting period 2000-2004, is the objective of this study.
